1. The rates on the PSS rate sheet are not negotiable. If something on the rate sheet is unclear, please inquire.

2. There is a 1 hour minimum for both recording and editing sessions.

3. See the Editing/Score Marking page for billing policies for editing.

4. Payment must be made after every session (by cash, check or Mastercard/Visa), unless other arrangements have been made prior to the inception of the project. If you forget to bring payment for a session, that payment will have to be made prior to the next session, or subsequent sessions will be cancelled.

5. Please let me know if my answering the phone during a session disrupts your concentration. If so, I will only do so during breaks.

6. I keep the piano in concert condition at all times and its use is included in the hourly rate. Piano tuning and standby charges are not included. If the piano needs to be tuned, charges are the responsibility of the client (I will arrange it). Otherwise, I cannot guarantee that the piano will be suitably in tune for CD recording. You are also welcome to bring your own piano technician as long as they are experienced in the tuning & maintenance of a concert grand.

7. Cancellation Policy: While I try to be understanding about situations that might lead to a cancellation, chronic cancellations disrupt my schedule. If you cancel more than twice, you will have to pay a deposit of 50% of the booked time for any subsequent sessions two weeks in advance, non-refundable if the session is then canceled. For location recording, a deposit will be required after one cancellation; this too must be paid two weeks in advance.

8. Rates do not include delivery or shipping; these charges will be billed at cost. Hand delivery charges will be quoted.

If you have any questions about any of the policies outlined above, please call 718.367.5385 or e-mail at either jppiano@aol.com or Joseph.Patrych@gmail.com.
